Aloha Rollups

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 c. diced or sliced apples
  • 1/2 c. diced mangos
  • 1/4 c. unsweetened apple sauce
  • 1/2 c, chopped macadamia nuts
  • 1/4 c. coconut flakes
  • 1 T. lemon extract
  • 2 T. cinnamon (one to mix in with fruit, and one for sprinkling on top of rollup)
  • 1 pre-prepared pastry dough

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
  2. Spread out pastry dough on the countertop (floured, on wax paper)
  3. Add pineapples, mangos, applesauce, cinnamon, and extract and mix in a bowl
  4. Spread fruit mix over ¾ of the dough
  5. Spread nuts and then coconut flakes over the top of the fruit
  6. Slowly roll the dough over. Seal any dough holes, seal ends
  7. Cut filled dough into 1″ inch-thick rounds
  8. Spray a cookie sheet with canola oil
  9. Place rounds on the cookie sheet
  10. Sprinkle rounds with cinnamon
  11. Spray the top of the rounds with another bit of canola oil spray
  12. Place in the oven at 400 degrees F (for approx.10 minutes) until rounds are a light shade of golden brown
  13. Serve HOT topped with a bit butter or honey
