Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350 Degrees F
- Grease a small pan or Pyrex dish with coconut oil and set aside
- Place peeled and diced apples in a large bowl
- Squeeze lemon juice over apples and mix
- Add in raisins, coconut flakes, pumpkin pie spice, apple sauce, and mix
- Place candied pecans in a plastic bag and, with a mallet, crush into small pieces.
- Add crushed pecans to the apple mixture and stir
- Pour the apple mixture into the greased pan and bake for approximately one hour (the apples will be soft, and the mixture will be bubbly).
Plate
- Serve Simple Apple Crisp (hot or cold) with a dollop of whipped cream or vanilla bean ice cream. Garnish with chocolate morsels.
